Thanks Tim. Shooting the sun was easy (just don't look into the viewfinder for more than a second or you'll have eye problems!). The aperture of the lens makes the 'starburst' effect without any modifications necessary.
Photoshop was used on this one to enhance the contrast and add a bit of saturation to the sky & sand.

How did you take a picture directly of the sun?
Did you use photoshop to manipulate the colors, if so, how?
